Requirements

· Installation of MySQL Software/Database
Pre-requisites.
· Experience managing MySQL in production
environment
· Understanding of MySQL engine design and
implementation
· Good experience with Linux/Solaris development
environments
· Basic knowledge in any one of the scripting languages -
Perl/Shell Scripting/Python etc
· Excellent knowledge of MySQL server and utilities
· Migrating databases using various tools such as Open Source
tools, Import/Export and Data pump.
· Hardening MySQL
environment.
· Managing User
Accounts.
· Experience in cloning using raw/binary and logical
backup.
· Experience in basic Performance Tuning and Monitoring using
various tools such as EXPLAIN, mysqltuner, mysqldumpslow and mysqldamin,
mytop, innotop etc.
· Scheduling Database Backups, taking Logical Backups & Physical
Backups.
· Design of Database development, Prepared Statements, Triggers,
Schemas, cursors and stored procedures, Events.
· Replicate the data between various servers.(1-way,2-way and
circular)
· Taking backups and provide security for database.
· Restoring and Recovery Management.
· Good Knowledge on Data Exports and Imports/Loading/extracting and
other MAATKIT.
· Worked with different MySQL tools like Sql Yog, DBcomparer, MySQL
Administration, Data migration, Visiuo…etc.
· Configuring my.cnf based on the performance issues Like Improving
Select/Update, Insert.
· Hands on different types of Engines like INNODB, MyISAM, BERKLEY,
ARCHIVE, CSV, NDB, FEDERATED...etc
· Worked on Production Database working with 24x7 bases
· Good Knowledge on writing Complex Queries.
· Loading the Data from various servers.
· Reloading bin logs –recovering when failure/DB lost happen.
· Monitoring tools like Nagios console and failover/failback
concepts.
· Implementing Database Security
Policy.
