Please your best candidates ASAP, please read the following description *Financial Analyst* Location: Bethesda, MD Contract Length 2 months+ Rate: $30/hr max Summary: *Person will be managing a portion of the Bank's real estate portfolio, and reviewing individual loans to monitor the status, health, and risk of the loan (looking at interest reserves, rent vs. projections, past due payments, and other compliance issues over the life of the loan).* *In smaller banks where one person handles a loan "beginning to end", they may have work as a "Relationship Manager", or in the Account Offices.* Responsibilities: ? Monitor CRE loan portfolio and address and resolve issues to maintain quality of credits ? Actively manage loan portfolio of individual loans ? Monitor credit status and quality of loans on a regularly scheduled basis, including regularly communicating with the relationship manager regarding the financial health of the borrower ? Track covenants, compliance issues, and past due payments through the life of a loan, including working with the relationship manager or borrower to resolve any addressable issues ? Perform annual, quarterly, or more frequent reviews (depending on the risk rating and type of loan) to assess the risks associated with the borrower and the credit ? On a continuous basis, work with the relationship manager, underwriter and borrower to address problems, delinquencies, or other changes in financial status ? Analyze and synthesize data to assess credit risk of portfolio loans ? Conduct company, industry, and market analysis to further assess borrower credit quality and broader context of current opportunity ? Perform market and industry analysis to understand macroeconomic and industry drivers ? Evaluate management team of borrower to determine stability of leadership and capability of management to achieve project goals ? Assess value and risk associated with any collateral used to back the loan ? Specify the loan’s risks and mitigants based on financial analysis and a further assessment of the borrower and the larger context ? Synthesize and communicate results of analysis to involved parties (e.g., relationship manager, credit officer, borrower) ? Present analysis regarding reviews and quarterly monitoring forms to relationship managers, credit officers, and other approval authorities, as needed ? Distribute results of analyses so as to ensure accurate coding of pertinent loan data on the Bank’s core systems ? Transfer loans to the Special Assets Group when the quality of a loan deteriorates beyond a specified credit rating, Typical Work Experience: Undergraduate business degree (accounting or finance preferred) with a minimum GPA of 3.0 OR MBA from an accredited university (finance concentration preferred). 3+ Years experience in real estate credit functions such as financial statement, lending analysis, underwriting or loan review.
