*Automation Tools: *

Experienced hands on Performance Test Automation Tools – Must have HP
Performance Center 9.1 and/or HP Load Runner Vu Gen / Load Runner 8.1.4 or
higher using web multi media an oracle protocol; Must have HP Service Test
tool and/or extensive SOAP UI – web services testing to develop, extend test
automation scripts, execute load test, generate related reports and graphs
and spreadsheets.

Oracle Application Suite 8.3 or higher including E-Tester, e-Load, and Nav
Editor Experience;

Understanding distributed systems: J2EE, Weblogic, BEA Portal, ESB Web
Services, UNIX, Linux, Oracle, Mainframe, LDAP, DMZ, MDM, DNS, Data Power,

*Job Description: *

This assignment requires active participation to conduct performance testing
for the Web Center Internet financial transactional applications on a new
infrastructure to enhance high availability of the external financial web
site. This includes NCC intranet applications, and web services testing. The
performance testing assignments will include targeting transactional volumes
as part of validation. Testing can be iterative for tuning and ensuring
additional capacity. The test will also include reviewing response of
components, memory leak testing, and other non functional testing such as
fault tolerance and failover for financial applications.

*Tasks and Responsibilities:*

Responsibilities will include coordinating all pre-tasks and post tasks
related to application performance testing.

Coordinate Web Application Performance Testing Pre-Tasks:

Ensure performance test requirements are received, develop performance test
plan

Script development, debugging and extending code

Calculate number of virtual users

Understand monitoring requirements based on test objectives



*Test Execution:*

Coordinate test window, and secure technical support for monitoring of
infrastructure and to qualify observations

Ensuring correct environment configuration just prior to execution

Execute performance and other non functional tests

Monitor certain environment components during tests, using the load tool, HP
diagnostics, BEA console, application logs such as log4j

Ensure support and participate in monitoring certain environment components
during tests, using tools including HP tools, Solar Winds, Wily Introscope,
Tivoli Monitoring, or BEA Console

Monitor application logs such as log4j

Address all technical issues, facilitate the resolution and necessary follow
up



*Performance Testing Post-Test Tasks:*

Gather various reports and statistics from monitoring groups, packaging and
reporting results to Project Teams for validation and analysis; This
includes log4j, jvmstats, server logs, comparison spreadsheets, etc.

Generate performance graphs, session reports and other related documentation
required for validation and analysis;

Assist in explanation of results and other post test initiatives

Publish results and receive appropriate signoffs

Prepare detail status reports, and monitoring of all defects and issues



*Required education/experience:*

Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience in Computer Science or
Information Systems

3-5 plus years hands on experience in secured web application performance
testing of financial transactional applications.

Candidate must have hands on experience in performance testing for web based
applications. Oracle Application suite 8.3 or higher experience or
certification preferred with Nav Editor Experience. Must have HP Performance
Center 9.1 or higher; HP Mercury VuGen / Load Runner 8.1.4 or higher also
helpful. Must have Services Testing experience using HP Services Test and
SOAP UI for web services. HTML editing with tools such as Front Page etc.

Operating in a distributed environment, J2EE, BEA Portal, Oracle, Web
Services; Sungard platform a plus

Knowledge of Applications Performance Testing best practices, VB, VBA, C,
C++, XML

Knowledge of BEA WebLogic, Apache, Portal, UNIX, JAVA, Wintel, Coherence

Experience in working with UNIX, Linux environment

Must have excellent communication skills - both written and oral

Candidate must be a self-starter Candidate must be have excellent listening
skills, professional, and reliable;

Years of Experience: 3-5 years experience with Performance Testing of web
based Financial transactional applications such as J2EE/Portal/Siebel with
hands on script development, testing, and results publishing and
analysis/follow up.
