SQL Server Developer with Banking/Financial Experience 3+ Months Boston, MA Must have: SQL Server 2000 / 2005, DTS, T-SQL, Erwin, Data Mapping Description: . General database design, development and maintenance support for the CRM Dashboard platform in SQL Server 2005. . Support the database development and data manipulation aspects of various IT initiatives. . Develop database models and review schema changes proposed by the application developers. Coordinate the review and approval of the schema changes with the Database Architecture group. . Develop SQL scripts for schema changes, stored procedures and data changes. . Review T-SQL code written by other developers to ensure it is accurate, adheres to best practices in database development and complies with the company standards. . Analyze data quality and develop solutions for data quality improvement. . Analyze the effect of database changes on data quality, application performance and interfaces with external systems. Communicate the database changes to team members and all affected database users. . Analyze database performance and optimize the database schema and SQL code for improved performance. Develop and implement database indexing strategies. . Develop and maintain database design documentation, including database diagrams, data mapping documents, data dictionaries, SQL code snippets etc. . Create ad-hoc SQL queries and reports for business users, auditors and other IT support teams. . Provide support on all database related questions from the Help Desk, application developers, business line users and other IT support teams within the company. . Maintain DTS packages for inbound and outbound data feeds. . Required skills: . Relational database design and development (entity-relationship diagrams, normalization, etc) .
