Position Description: We are in need of an experienced Project Manager on a contract basis to augment our project management staff in the IT Enterprise Business Systems area. The candidate will oversee a larger, more complex project to finalize the selection of an Enterprise Data Warehouse appliance tool and to lead the implementation of this new technology. Responsible for the overall direction and control of the project through a framework of planning, coordinating, scheduling, evaluation, communicating and managing work and resources. Key Technical Skills / Competencies: 1. 5 plus years experience in successfully managing diverse projects (varying in complexity of scope and budget). 2. Demonstrated application of PM skills and intimate knowledge of PM methodologies. 3. Excellent listening, verbal, written communication and interpersonal skills. 4. Demonstrated ability to facilitate groups/teams to include planning, presentations and moderation. 5. Ability to effectively solicit information from appropriate sources. 6. Demonstrated ability to analyze information, solve problems and adapt to different work environments. 7. Ability to estimate project dollars and resources necessary to successfully complete projects. 8. Effective planning and organizational skills. 9. Proven ability to effectively lead teams to achieve project objectives. 10. Expert use of widely used PC-based software used to track projects (PlanView, MS Project). Prior experience in leading an EDW / Business Intelligence project required.
