*This is an urgent requirement.* *Rate: $40/hr, CTC (This is an intermediate position)* *6 mo Application Systems Analyst in Princeton, NJ – (2positions) Needed* *Work Summary* The candidates filling this Application Systems Analyst Intermediate position will be responsible for working with internal and external business partners to identify, analyze and document requirements to develop new features needed for the company’s application. The candidates will also be responsible to work with various internal groups; development team, software test team and others to make sure that agreed upon solution is documented and delivered to end users. The candidates will also be involved in documenting changes to existing documentation to help modify existing features of the company’s application. Candidates will have to follow IT’s newly rolled out SDLC process and will be documenting functional requirements, technical requirements, non functional requirements, implementation details and test conditions documents. The candidate must be an expert in using Power Designer tool for documentation. Candidates must also have working experience in using MS Visio or similar tools to document use cases and deployment models. Candidates should demonstrate expertise in writing basic database queries to validate date in Oracle 10g database. Candidates must also be an expert in using MS Office tools like MS Word, MS Excel, MS Power Point. Candidates showing familiarity with JAVA/J2EE technologies and are able to read JAVA/J2EE, JSP’s, XML and HIBERNATE code will be given preference and is a definite plus. *Responsibilities* *The ideal candidates will be responsible for:* · Demonstrating strong problem-solving ability, logic, and analytical skills, which can be applied across multiple applications. · Candidate must be familiar with general programming and system analysis concepts. · Candidate must follow the new SDLC process being rolled out by SR&T. If required adequate training will be provided. Candidate’s familiarity with this new process is a definite plus. · Responsible for creating functional requirements, technical requirements, implementation details, unit test conditions using templates provided by SDLC process using Power Designer tool. · Experience working on development of web applications using Java, J2EE technologies. Candidate must be able to read code developed using Java/J2EE technologies. · Working experience in using MS Visio or similar tools to document use cases and deployment models. · Candidate should demonstrate expertise in writing and executing basic database queries to validate data in Oracle 10g database. Candidate must also be an expert in using MS Office tools like MS Word, MS Excel and MS Power Point. · Work with system developers, technical analysts, testing teams, project managers and end users to assist in development, validation, and delivery of all aspects of the solution. · Participate in design meetings and apply industry standard analysis techniques, including Use Cases where appropriate, to assist in providing the optimum solution for a given business opportunity. · Perform comprehensive preliminary development level testing and produce all entrance criteria documentation ranging from logical deployment diagrams, Functional Requirements, Technical Requirements to Unit test cases, etc required for promoting products under development to Software Testing team. · Maintaining team spirit and a positive attitude. · Strong written and oral communication skills are must. · Executing unit test conditions, perform basic regression testing of application in controlled environment to ensure better quality of software is delivered to Software Test team and eventually to production. *Experience, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities* · The ideal candidates must have at least 3 - 5 years of progressively diverse systems analysis, documentation and testing experience using Web and XML technologies. The person must demonstrate strong knowledge and experience with the responsibilities outlined above. · Experience with MS Visio and similar tools to document deployment diagrams and use cases. · Familiarity and Experience with XML. · Experience in reading object oriented application code developed using Java/J2EE technologies · Demonstrate strong knowledge and experience with the responsibilities outlined above. The candidates must have significant experience with technologies listed above · Experience with test and delivery systems is definite plus. · Experience with software engineering infrastructure, including configuration/build management tools, release/change control, and issue tracking tools. Prefer Sybase, Power Designer knowledge and experience. · Demonstrated ability to operationalize technical solutions to ensure adherence to corporate business objectives may outweigh other position requirements. · Good interpersonal skills in order to interact with clients, technical staff, and third parties *Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities* · Power Designer – *Critical, Required* · MS Office Tools (MS WOD, MS EXCEL, MS POWER POINT, MS VISIO) – *Critical, Required* · Java, J2EE, Swing, Java Applets, Servlets, JSP – *Preferred* · Oracle 10g – *Critical, Preferred* *Education* A Bachelors degree with extensive coursework in Computer Science or an equivalent combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge and abilities can be acquired is necessary.
