As the company decided to move their Application Servers from WebLogic to
JBOSS, it is necessary to upgrade some web applications which are developed
based on WebLogic frameworks. My job responsibilities include understanding
the current application development environment and converting the
development framework to Struts.
I have finished conversion of a web application, SWEEP from WebFlows
to Struts. This is being tested part by part and pushed to production.
I am currently working on conversion of project, PQR (Product
Quality Reporting), developed under Weblogic WorkShop with PageFlows. It is
a whole rewrite to the application using Struts, Hibernate frameworks and
MyEclipse IDE. Also include few page layout changes & new styles for better
user readability.
- implementing struts tiles, menus and templates for page design.
- developing Hibernate files (pojos, daos, mappings) by connecting
to database through MyEclipse
- writing HQL statements for data retrieving.
- implementing struts functionality by having forms, actions and
validators
- xml data handling between PQR web app and a stand alone
application called POS.
- maintaining the user roles and permission's using a delegate
