Position Microsoft .net Developer Department Reporting to Location Stamford Job Summary We are in the process of having our core survey systems re-developed by a leading technology consulting firm using the Microsoft Business Intelligence tool set. This is an opportunity to join the internal IT team that will take over the support, maintenance of the new systems when they are completed. The role is based in Stamford offices but some travel to other offices may be necessary. We are looking for a Microsoft .net developer with experience in delivering data intensive Web based solutions with blue chip organisations, ideally in the business intelligence area. This is an excellent opportunity to progress existing skills within an experienced team with excellent career prospects and would suit an experienced developer. Duties and Responsibilities · Participation in development teams to deliver the survey management applications, using .net · Work with the data warehouse and business intelligence teams in developing the user interface and workflow components · Documentation of all work carried out, e.g. data models, configurations, and setup · Input into the McLagan/Radford best practice for software development projects Essential Qualifications and Experience · Solid experience as a .net developer · Experience in the development of data loading, validation, editing applications on a global scale · Development experience in a team environment with high-end projects from inception through to delivery with competency in the following areas; o .NET development o WPF and Silverlight o ASP.NET <http://asp.net/> 2.0 Desirable Qualifications and Experience · .NET/ASP.NET <http://asp.net/> 3.5, including Entity Framework, MVC, Dynamic Data, AJAX.NET <http://ajax.net/> · Knowledge of the Microsoft BI platform would be advantageous, including Analysis Services, Reporting Services and Integration Services · Team Leading · Experience of .NET SQL programming within SQL Server and Analysis services, MDX and Transact-SQL · Data Modelling tools, eg.
