Title : Data Warehouse BA Location : Des Moines, IA Duration : 6+ Months Contract *Overview:* The qualified candidate will be responsible for leading the efforts to translate high level business requirements into detailed functional specifications for IT business intelligence projects and initiatives. The candidate will quickly understand business processes and system designs to effectively integrate new data processes into current state business and technical processes. *Responsibilities: *Minimum of 4 years experience in Business Intelligence analysis or Data Warehouse analysis. Detailed knowledge of a Data Warehouse platforms and general knowledge of other IT Platforms such as Client/Server, Internet/Intranet, Electronic Commerce, Mainframe) DB2, Sybase and SQL Server are preferred in that order. Intermediate knowledge of creating SQL queries to query, profile and test data. Demonstrated ability to manage business expectations and understand business dynamics. Demonstrated ability to effectively organize and facilitate meetings, requirements gathering sessions, etc. Ability to listen to others' ideas and to share information and ideas to help team reach goals. Strong analytical problem solving skills; ability to break problems apart systematically to understand root cause. Knowledge of project management methodologies Effective and appropriate written and oral communication skills, including issue resolution, negotiation and conflict management. Includes ability to communicate accurately & concisely in a form appropriate for the audience. Strong time management and organizational skills including ability to prioritize work. Ability to operate with either specific or general direction. Ability to see a task through to completion independently and as a team member. Health insurance industry knowledge preferred.
