*Local to GA - EAD, GC or Citizen's* Title : Java Technical Lead Location : Atlanta, GA Duration : 12 Months Contract Looking for a hands-on Senior Technical Lead with emphasis on strong leadership skills. Initially, candidate will be more hands on to learn the technology across WebSphere Customer Center (WCC), Mainframe, and SOA solutions (WebSphere Stack). After they are skilled in EC Technologies, their hands-on work will reduce as their leadership tasks increase. Required skills: · Will leading high complex design and monitoring all components for quality, overlap, etc. · Ability to lead medium to large technical teams across multiple platforms (WCC, Service Net (SNET), ETL) · Ability to lead team of developers, assign tasks and monitor status · Ability to develop and analyze Java code · While all Java experience is valued, applicant must have strong backend Java experience · Candidate has lead 5-15 development resources, across multiple tracks of work and is capable of delivering code as well. The resources are matrixed to the project, so the Lead must be able to lead without the direct control of the resources. · Ability to Develop Web Services in J2EE or Websphere Application Server. · Excellent analytical skills, judgment and oral and written communication skills · Has ability and willingness to write clear technical documentation · Demonstrated knowledge of Project Management methodology · Demonstrated analytical and conceptual skills · Demonstrated knowledge of Project Management methodology Preferred skills: · Experienced in a UNIX environment · Ability to develop SQL code · Has experience working with DB2 UDB and on the zSeries · Ability to comprehend COBOL code · Experience with TSO on the mainframe to support use of CA7, Spufi, Report generator and Platinum · Experience working WebSphere products: · WebSphere Application Server – WAS · WebSphere Customer Center WCC/Infosphere MDM Server (while this is a nice to have, candidates with this skill will receive priority consideration) · WebSphere QualityStage - WQS · Ability to work with XML creation and comprehension · Experience working with customer information systems · Knowledge of business systems and processes within the financial services industry; recent (within last 3 years) working knowledge of multiple tools, systems, applications, services to support financial services industry; experience with financial business systems and processes.
