The EPIC Ambulatory builder will be joining an organization that is
implementing the EPIC Model Inpatient. This organization has been using
EPIC Ambulatory for 10 years and now needs to redesign their legacy
ambulatory build so it aligns to the model system. The builder will need to
look at the current ambulatory build and the new inpatient build and perform
a gap analysis and then put together a plan and execute the build.
· Rebuild the current EPIC Ambulatory build
· Escalate integration issues as needed
· Understanding of build, order transmittal, profiles, roles, user
setup, smart tools build; reports and print groups (can be IP or Ambulatory)
· Knowledge of Clarity Reports
· Experience with Data currier
· Ability to work independently,
· Good written and verbal communication skills,
· Good attention to detail and documentation,
· Word processing and formatting skills,
· Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Excel
· Ability to work with a variety of providers and clinical staff,
· Experience in presenting information to groups,
· Willing to follow a complex process for order set
development/modification including electronic processes
*Required:*
• 2 years experience with EPIC in building and configuring
application
• Certification in Ambulatory or Inpatient
• 3 years experience in health care environment plus experience with
a variety of automation tools

*Description:*
Experienced, Epic Certified team lead to participate in Pharmacy Epic
Decision Support Implementation across a large, integrated delivery system.
This project is funded as part of a strategic program for. This engagement
will be for a period of 4 months.
*Skills:*
- Epic certification in:
- Willow required
- Medication Orders required
- Decision Support required
- Registered Pharmacist preferred
- Experience with Epic Flight Plan Methodology
- Ability to listen to users and understand the problem they are trying
to solve.
- Problem-Solving and Logical thinking skills.
- Clinical knowledge to group medications together for use in a BPA
- Clinical and Technical knowledge to identify diagnosis, lab values, and
other patient data to pull into a BPA.
- Ability to analyze whether an alert should be passive or active, and
who should view alert.
- Ability to recreate 50+ clinical alerts developed for legacy system in
EPIC.
- Experience with alternative alerts, and filters for medication
warnings.
