I am looking for a *Sybase DBA *for a long term contract in Minneapolis, MN. If they are Green Card or Citizens there is a possibility to be brought on perm. At least 6 months of only contract, most likely longer. Local candidates are preferred over non-local but will still consider. *Must have excellent communication!* Rate:$55-60/hour depending on experience level § Minimum of 3 years development experience § Minimum of *5 years as an Sybase Database Administrator *(DBA) Minimum of *3 years experience working with Oracle database* § Experience must include *Data Modeling of OLTP and/or OLAP* systems using ERD and/or UML modeling techniques § Data-centric development using* SQL, Transact SQL, PL/SQL, debugging, and Shell scripting.* § Demonstrated experience and knowledge managing development database environments to include: · using *PowerDesigner* (strongly preferred) or other modeling tools · writing build/maintenance scripts that allow databases and their corresponding objects to be created/modified in different environments · monitoring and optimizing system performance using index tuning, disk optimization, and other methods · making tuning recommendations to developers related to Transact SQL in triggers and stored procedures, assisting them with tuning the expensive queries Please send the updated resume of the consultant along with the rate, location and contact information.
