Candidate will support Production processing and provide technical assistance to Development teams, perform requests for data copy over, review & implement table structure changes and assist application teams with SQL tuning activities. * The ideal candidate will have experience with:* - Support & maintenance of existing DB2 system infra-structure & application databases - Review logical data design & create new application tables - Assist application teams with diagnosis of DB2 related errors - Review application SQL for efficiency & provide advice for improvements Maintain database backup, recovery & other scheduled DBA maintenance jobs. 5+ years experience as an application DB2 DBA on z/OS platform (V8 and/or V9) 4 Year Degree Working knowledge of JCL, COBOL, REXX & DB2 Connect Working knowledge of DB2 Performance monitors (INSIGHT/DB2 or Omegamon/XE for DB2) Hands on experience with SQL performance & tuning Working knowledge of Excel and Microsoft Office products Shailaja Aim Computer Consulting N.
