*****Immediately Needed A Consultant***** SQL DBA Location: Atlanta GA Duration: 6+ Months Contract Detailed Description of Daily Assignment: The successful candidate will be a part of a fast paced environment working a variety of projects. The projects can include both build out of new systems or upgrading of existing systems. The candiate will be expected to self manage the project assigned to him/her, work effectively with application support teams and other matrix teams to facilite delivery of the new systems into projection on time. The candidate will be expected to sometimes work under a lot of pressure to deliver systems in short timeframes. The candidate will also be expected to ensure the database systems will scale and perform well once they go live and report any concerns to management. Detailed Description of needed deliverable: Delivery of the assigned projects into production E. Soft Skills Needed Possesses good oral and written communication skills. Can create partners at all levels of the organization and able to prioritize and meet deadlines without full supervision. Successful candidate is a self-starter and creative problem solver that is dependable, highly organized, and able to prioritize and meet deadlines without full supervision. Required Skills: Exellent SQL Server database administration skills. The successful candidate will need to be skilled in installation, performance tuning, and trouble shooting SQL Server 2005 and 2008 databases. The candidate should be experienced installing and managing SQL Server 2005 and 2008 on Windows clusters. Experience in Power Shell scripting and cental management of large SQL Server environments is a big plus. Preferred Skills: Experience managing SQL Server 2005 and 2008. Experience building new and upgrading SQL Server. Advance performance tuning and trouble shooting.
