Job: SAP BI/BW Developer
Location: NYC – *Only Local’s – F2F is Must*
Duration: 4-6 Months *Contract to Hire – Need to be GC or US Citizen*.
*Job Description*
BW/BI Developer will be responsible for the *development, support &
maintenance of SAP BI/BW 7.0 instance connected to ECC system with
financials (FI/CO, AP, FA), HCM (employee master, benefits, payroll) and MM
(Materials management) modules implemented. BW/BI developer to design,
develop and support SAP BW backend components and front end reports /
dashboards*.
*Job Duties*
· Perform analysis and configuration of the BW/BI 7.0 data environment to
facilitate custom reporting and data analytics solutions.
· Build and enhance BI objects such as:
InfoObjects, InfoCubes, InfoSources / Data Sources
Master Data, Transformations, Update Rules, ODS
Extractors for Master and Transaction Data, manage PSA, DSOs, Infocubes,
Multi-providers, Info sets
Aggregates and Process Chains
User exits
BI BADI/CMOD enhancements
· ABAP development
· Interact with business to gather requirements, prioritize work, develop
enhancements to the existing system, coordinate testing, and perform
change management/training for BW Reporting and applications.
· Perform analysis and design; write technical specifications; configuration
and programming in the SAP/BI environment, including testing and
implementation.
· Monitor, communicate and troubleshoot issues with data integrity, data
design, and functional and technical software issues
· Design complex, custom BW solutions or component objects translating
complex requirements into an optimal BW design.
· Develop and drive the implementation of BW best practices and standards
for the team.
· Perform routine program modifications, performance tuning, problem
solving, debugging, and unit testing
· Support the on boarding and training of BW Power Users. This includes
providing technical training of key BW toolsets such as BeX web
analyzers, query designers.
· Adhere to good systems development methodology
· Prepare project related documentation (object designs, business rules,
technical information etc) during the different stages of the project.

*REQUIRED Prior Experience & Education*
· *7+ years technical experience and at least 5 years of SAP BW/BI,
including minimum two years in version 7.0*
· Bachelors of Science degree in Computer Science or related business field;
or equivalent experience
· Deep knowledge of configuration of B/W data objects including Info
objects, Info sources, Transformations, ODS, Cubes, Info Providers, and
multi providers.
· Deep knowledge of BI extractors from the ECC system and working knowledge
of SAP structures, object dependencies and tables in version
ECC 6.0 environment
· Extensive experience in reconciling R/3 data with BW data. Need strong
experience in SQVI and the R/3 table sets.
· Strong Communication skills (Verbal and written)
· Must have strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem solving
abilities.
· Must have the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
· Must have experience working on small fast pace project teams.
· Must have the ability to work under pressure and adhere to deadlines.

*Skills, Knowledge, Abilities*
· Experience in new Netweaver features such as Visual Composer and WAD
· Extensively worked on extractors for FI/CO, AP, AR, HCM, and MM (SD
preferred)
· Experience with Business Objects (BOXI) a big plus
· ABAP development, SmartForms and SAP Scripting
· JAVA, HTML, Internet applications.
