Please send your resumes to [email protected] only Requirement Details : Title : Project manager Location: FL Duration: September 1, 2012 DEP's Division of State Lands is looking for a Project Manager to manage the State's responsibility under the Lands Inventory Tracking System (LITS) project. This project entails development and implementation of a comprehensive system for all state lands and real property leased, owned, rented, and otherwise occupied or maintained by any state agency, judicial branch, or the water management district. The project is expected to last through September 1, 2012. The LITS project is the responsibility of DEP with the following expected participants: Steering committee comprised of representatives from DEP and other state agencies and external stakeholders; Project manager (the subject of this solicitation); Project team composed of DEP staff members and subject matter experts, as needed, from other state agencies; Contractor for the updated feasibility study; and Contractor for software development. The PM will work an average of 40 hours/week, in the Carr Building at the DEP complex on Commonwealth Blvd. The project team will consist of the full-time project manager and consist of DEP and other state agency personnel and external stakeholders as appointed by members of the executive steering committee. Key Activities will include: A. Providing daily planning, management, and implementation resources and capabilities for the project including LITS and an updated feasibility study being prepared under a separate contract. B. Developing an operational work plan for the project and providing to the executive steering committee proposed updates to the work plan whenever necessary. The plan must specify project milestones, deliverables, a development and implementation schedule, and expenditures necessary to achieve the main objectives C. Developing a roles and responsibilities document and a Resource Assignment Matrix. D. Submitting written monthly project status reports to the executive steering committee which describe: Planned project costs versus actual project costs. Completion status of major milestones and deliverables according to the project schedule. Any issues requiring resolution, the proposed resolution for the issues, and information regarding the status of the resolution. Specific risks that must be managed and methods for their management. Recommendations for necessary changes in the project's scope, schedule, or costs. All recommendations must be reviewed by project stakeholders before submission to the executive steering committee in order to ensure that the recommendations meet required acceptance criteria. E. Oversight of the feasibility study required in 253.034 F.S. (if legislation is passed) under the direction of the executive steering committee. F. Preparing project work plans and project status reports, this shall also be provided to the Governor and the chair of the House Full Appropriations Council on General Government & Health Care and the chair of the Senate Policy and Steering Committee on Ways and Means. II. QUALIFICATIONS Required experience: · Ability to coordinate multiple project teams and team members · Ability to effectively manage a diverse team with resources both internal and external to DEP/DSL · Demonstrated leadership skills · Ability to proactively and aggressively solve problems and manage issues effectively · Strong communications skills · Technical understanding for software development processes · Solid business and technical writing skills · Experienced in communicating effectively with senior business managers and the legislature · Effective presentation skills for executing senior management engagements · Ability to be highly accurate and detail oriented · Strong technical skill utilizing advanced Project Management tools (e.g. MS Project) · Experienced in executing Project Management methods and processes according to the Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK) Preferred requirements: · PMP certification · Experience developing systems in the Land Management/GIS arena If you are interested with the above opening please send below information ASAP Email me a copy of your updated WORD formatted resume with the below details.. 1.
