Working in a team of approximately 8 technologists, the business analyst will elicit application requirements using interviews, data analysis, business process descriptions, use cases, task and workflow analysis. The analyst critically evaluates information gathered from multiple sources, reconciles conflicts, decomposes high-level information into details, and distinguishes user requests from the underlying true needs. The analyst proactively communicates and collaborates with external and internal customers to analyze information needs and functional requirements and delivers project artifacts as needed. Strong analytical skills are required, including a thorough understanding of how to interpret customer business needs and translate them into application and operational requirements. The analysts should have excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group, executives, managers, and subject matter experts. Experience with data warehouse projects in financial services environments is preferred. Knowledge of MS Office software, SQL skills and familiarity with relational databases are required.
