In addition to skills on spec, manager only wants resumes with *"**experience testing electrical/power equipment."* That is the key. *ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES* - Translate end user requirements into value added test cases. - Creation & execution of acceptance and system test cases. - Creation and verification of detailed Change Requests - Reporting and tracking of test results - Lab planning and setup - Participate in knowledge transfer training. - Duplication and associated investigation of escalation field issues. - Interface with Technical Support, Development and Product Management during trouble investigation. - Design and implement software automation techniques to improve test execution, reliability of test results and improve overall time to market. - Ability to create and execute load, stress test, and perform automated testing for web and / or client server applications. *REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS * - Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or related field. - 5+ years hands on system test activities experience of products in a Linux, Windows, Java, C++, web-based environments - Working knowledge of Basic electrical power management and distribution and use of Power Distribution Units (PDUs) in a data center environment - Working knowledge of Linux including command-line tools, network configuration, software installation, and performance profiling. - Experience developing system-level test plans and procedures for requirement based testing activities - Experience with defect tracking systems (e.g. bugzilla, Eventum, GNATS) - Experience with LAN/WAN networking technologies/protocols (e.g. TCP/IP, SNMP) - Five years testing experience in process controlled development environment (CMM, ISO,.) - Understanding of System Test best practices as well as the dynamics of the entire project lifecycle. - Excellent analysis, troubleshooting, and technical skills. - Accountability and the ability to multi-task/manage changing priorities. - Self-motivated with critical attention to detail, deadlines and reporting. - Good oral and written communication and interpersonal skills required. - Team player *DESIRED KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS* - Familiarity with electrical/?electronic test equipment and fundamentals - Working knowledge of OHM's law and electronic theory - Experieince with Agile developmement methodology - Experience with HP Interactive tools (QC, QTP, Loadrunner) and other open source test tools (TestLink) - Experience with Eclipse, Selenium IDE and TestNG - Experience with test automation tools - Experience with 802.11.x wireless protocols - Experience with AAA protocols (e.g. Radius, LDAP) Please send the updated resume of the consultant along with the rate, location and contact information.
