*Project Summary and Position Overview:*

Leads and manages a team of Business Analysts and acts as a liaison between
either a development group and an external client/vendor, or a development
group and an internal business sponsor.  The BAs are responsible for the
collection/analysis, authoring, and communication of requirements in order
to satisfy the client/sponsor’s needs. The BA Team Leader is responsible for
the day-to-day aspects of the team including planning/scheduling, reviews,
hiring, process management, and task delivery.  The BA Team Leader is
expected to exhibit excellent leadership skills to improve group
organization and delivery process.

*Essential Day-to-Day Responsibilities:*

• Contribute to and manage the ongoing development of the Business Analyst
function, specifically process, tools and techniques such that they develop
in line with company organizational, technical and commercial standards.
• Works with Development and business partners to develop and grow the
business through effective use of technology.
• Uses skills and knowledge of employees and understanding of team dynamic
to maximise team effectiveness.
• Developing metrics to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Developing in-depth awareness and understanding of Thomson Reuters
technologies, products and services.
• Passionate about TR products and services, and preserving the knowledge
that led to their development.
• Work directly with programmers to recommend the development or
modification of computer programs, database structures, and data dictionary
content.
• Align data processing across different platforms.
• Project team member for projects of medium to large scope and moderate to
high complexity.

• Responsible for managing the relationship to a third party or remote
development team in terms of communication of business requirements

*Additional Information: *

• Responsible for estimating effort required for own work, and checking and
agreeing other team member estimates.

• Accountable for timeliness of team and project results, and takes
responsibility for the quality of work delivered.

• Able to plan tasks necessary to lead to the production of adequate
business and system functional requirements.



*Education:*

• Bachelor's degree required, Master’s preferred (Finance, MIS, or
Mathematics)

*Required Skills: *

• Needs to have a high level understanding of the overall Thomson Reuters
Development architecture in order to understand the issues and implications
of proposed systems and hardware solutions.
• Typically requires 5 or more years of relevant technical and business work
experience.
• Requires working knowledge of business operations, requirements
processing, business modeling concepts, information systems, software
development life cycle, and leadership skills.
• Previous supervisory experience useful.
• Knowledge of project management and systems analysis methodologies.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills and decision-making
abilities.
• Computer and data input skills.
• Interest in worldwide financial markets.



*Desired Skills:*

• The ability to manage multiple projects with shifting priorities in a
real-time environment.
• Must grasp concepts quickly.  Aptitude and interest in technical concepts
essential.
• Self-motivated and the capability to work without supervision.
• A wide degree of creativity, latitude and patience is expected.
