The team’s function is primarily to Develop, Design and Analyze existing
applications and builds new applications to support business needs.
Applicants should have a strong background in Oracle & Java development in
support of enterprise applications.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Assist Director of Software Development in servicing our business
teams such as Registrar, Admissions, Financial Aid, and Bursar office.
· Design or modify, debug, test, and document complex SOA Suite of
application systems
· Responsible for writing technical documentation.
· Create and Execute unit test plans based on system requirements.
· Troubleshoot and Optimize *Oracle Forms, Packages, Procedures*.
· Interacting with Business teams and development teams.
· Works with release team members, Managers and team members in
identifying integration approaches and addressing data concerns as required.
· Stays current on targeted platform functionality and enhancements.
· Mentoring Junior developers.
· Managing and Reviewing outsourced projects from development
perspective.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:
· Strong Oracle PL/SQL, Java, Oracle Forms 10g and Oracle reports
development is required.
· Oracle 10g Application servers knowledge is a must.
· 7+ years of experience in Oracle tools such as TOAD , SQL developer
and Oracle JDeveloper is required.
· At least 2 yrs of experience with Java Development in Oracle
environment.
· Object Oriented Programming & J2EE development is Highly desirable.
· Extensive experience with Oracle DDL scripting, PL/SQL Packages and
Oracle SQL Loader
· Data Modeling and Performance tuning is must.
· Fluent in Spanish Language is big plus.
· Excellent problem-Solving skills, a self-starting attitude and good
communication skills are essential.
· Experience in packaging and deploying software across different
environments is highly desired.
· Great design and problem solving skills.
· Solid understanding of Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) &
Agile development is plus.
· Knowledge of SCT Banner is a plus.
· Knowledge of Pro*C is a Plus.
· Knowledge of TIBCO is a plus.
· Knowledge of administrative policies and procedures for financial
and enrollment processes at higher education institutions is a plus.
· Strong interpersonal skills, including effective oral and written
communication
· Bachelor's degree (BA or BS) from four-year college or university;
at least five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent
combination of education and experience.
