 10+ years networking experience
 5+ years working in RF and wireless technologies
 Extensive experience designing RF & wireless networks & integrating them
with wide area network backhaul, as well as extensive industry knowledge in
these disciplines. Experience specific to the Electric Utility
environmentis highly desired.



*The Ideal Candidate Has:*
 Knowledge & experience in the 700/900 MHz and 2.4/3.65/5.8 GHz bands, and
the technologies that utilize this spectrum, such as WiMAX, spread
spectrumand conventional radio solutions.
 Has experience with securing networks and using standards such as NIST, DoD
and NERC/CIP for secure implementations.
 Has experience with RF planning software such as CelPlan or EDX Signal Pro
Responsibilities:
Technical Lead - The tech lead will be responsible for technical design
oversight of the GridComm Foundation and Broadband Services* network
deployments. This position is instrumental in ensuring that the systems are
designed and configured to meet the technical and business requirements, and
may be involved in gathering and analyzing said requirements. The tech lead
will work with the internal project team and the selected vendors to ensure
project success from a technical level. The tech lead will be responsible
for validating system design, reviewing and accepting vendor documentation
and providing technical status reports to the program stakeholders. The
technical lead will provide the Technical Director with subject matter
expertise for these workstreams to assure a comprehensive view of how they
interface to the overall GridComm program.



* - GridComm will achieve a pervasive reach across the Client electric grid
via trusted communication "clouds", each supporting a specific Smart Grid
feature set:
1) Foundation RF Services - licensed 700 MHz covering SDG&Es entire service
territory, which will communicate with such endpoints as AMI, SCADA,
photovoltaic assets and field force service and construction personnel
2) Broadband RF Services - licensed and license-exempt 2.4/3.65/5.8 GHz
coverage for targeted major assets, which will enable wide area measurement
(WAM) capabilities, backhaul, and phasor measurements.
