Consultant must have 2+ ROR production systems with one that is a high traffic consumer public facing site *Requirements:*** 1. *2 + yrs of RoR (Ruby on Rails) development targeting the J2EE platform utilizing :* *a. **Applies OOD and Design Patterns to software design & problem solving *** *b. **Tackled clustering/caching, threading and performance issues *** *c. **fast paced agile environment with continuous integration*** *d. **unit/integration/load/performance testing*** 2. Must have a strong command of web standards and best practices a. Work with business staff and management team to plan and design web applications b. Develop web applications, and maintain existing applications c. Formulate and execute on plans to enhance existing applications d. Manage deployment and implementation of web applications 3. Financials Services Experience is PLUS 4. Nginx, Mongrel, GIT, Capistrano, Memcached and other services supporting Rails is huge plus 5.
