A business analyst is required for a data warehouse project at a financial services broker dealer. Working in a team of approximately 8 technologists, the business analyst will elicit application requirements using interviews, data analysis, business process descriptions, use cases, task and workflow analysis. The analyst critically evaluates information gathered from multiple sources, reconciles conflicts, decomposes high-level information into details, and distinguishes user requests from the underlying true needs. The analyst proactively communicates and collaborates with external and internal customers to analyze information needs and functional requirements and delivers project artifacts as needed. Strong analytical skills are required, including a thorough understanding of how to interpret customer business needs and translate them into application and operational requirements. The analysts should have excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group, executives, managers, and subject matter experts. Experience with data warehouse projects in financial services environments is preferred. Knowledge of MS Office software, SQL skills and familiarity with relational databases are required. 2)Business Analyst Job Duration: 5 Months Published Description: The role of this Business Analyst will be managing the production support process. The candidate must have previous work experience with tasks such as: tracking production items, following up with the development team, etc. Develops and prepares computer systems requirements and develops procedures to process data. Analyzes functional problems and determines techniques and requirements most feasible for processing the data. Prepares definition of functional problems and makes recommendations for equipment and/ or software to deliver solutions. Develops analytical reports or other products. Well versed in Graph Design and Development for achieving the best performance during batch cycles. . Solid Oracle Database Skills are mandatory, with real-time experience in creating high-performance data structures to support stringent SLAs of the ETL cycle. . Experience in UNIX shell scripting, Batch schedulers and XML would be highly desirable. . Experience in Data Modeling, Data Integration, Data Consolidation is a plus. .
