Minimum of 7 years Oracle/PeopleSoft *T&L, HR, and payroll experience*.  The
candidate’s production support experience should include supporting
applications of employee population sizes over 50,000, with 2,000+ online
users, and terabyte sized databases.  The individual must possess hands on
technical expertise with PeopleSoft version 9.0, in the roles of production
support, and technical application developer.  The initial duration of this
assignment is for 9 to 12 months.



Contractors entering into this project will have primary responsibility for
supporting the current 9.0 production environment, including nightly batch
processing, and biweekly payroll processing.   In addition, the contractor
will also assist with the 9.0 implementation of *Time and Labor* by
performing activities related to the analysis, design, coding, testing,
installation, and support of HRCMS in conformity with customer and ITD
standards and procedures and performing related duties as required.
Specific tasks will be assigned by the HRCMS Project Managers within the
Enterprise Systems Services Group (ITD).



The contractor will perform responsibilities to support ongoing production
and the *9.0 Time and Labor implementation*.  These tasks include but are
not limited to:



1.                   Superior analytical and technical skills required

2.                   In depth knowledge of PeopleSoft 9.0 HR, Payroll and
Time & Labor modules

3.                   Gain a thorough and in-depth understanding of the
business processes, technical architecture and all components of the
assigned application, including all middleware and operating system
components.

4.                   Thoroughly identify customer requirements through
fit-gap or requirement sessions, and document the outcome using the current
system development methodology.  The incumbent is expected to facilitate
requirements workshops when needed.

5.                   Design a solution that clearly and efficiently address
the business objectives identified.  Create software architecture documents
and models according to the system development methodology.

6.                   Ensure that work done meets customer business needs and
will execute correctly and efficiently within a production environment by
implementing configuration changes, developing data mover scripts, creating
technical designs, developing code with a high level of proficiency,
performing detailed and thorough testing and actively participate in
walkthroughs.

7.                   Experience with all phases of testing including unit,
system, integration parallel, performance, and user acceptance.

8.                   Experience with performance tuning batch programs in
large and complex environments.

9.                   Extensive programming experience in the following
technologies and languages is highly desired:  PeopleCode, SQL, SQR,
Integration Broker, Application Designer, Application Engine, Security, and
Workflow

10.               Strong experience with AIX and UNIX shell scripting highly
desired.

11.               PeopleSoft upgrade experience utilizing Change
Assistant/Upgrade Assistant in an Oracle/UNIX-AIX environment highly
desired.

12.               Clearly and concisely communicate status of all assigned
tasks to management. Including the preparation and delivery of presentations
to upper management on project direction and status.

13.               For selected projects, coordinate all activities and
resources to meet project goals and schedules.

14.               Keep production application(s) running correctly during
assigned on-call periods, which are scheduled on a rotating 24 hour, 7 day a
week basis.  Investigate all issues and problem solve according to published
work flows. When assigned to an on-call rotation cycle must be prepared to
perform on call duties, onsite or remotely, during emergencies.

15.               Keep up to date on job related technical issues, new
trends, and product directions and be a resource for other team members.

16.               Ability to understand and follow complex oral and written
instructions.

17.               Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in
writing.

18.               Ability to establish and maintain harmonious working
relationships.

19.               Ability to multitask.

20.               Public Sector experience is preferred.

21.               Performs other duties as required.
