Scope of position:
The purpose of this position is to effectively assess software quality and
report software defects. The Consultant’s purpose is to ensure effective
test coverage in our Smart Client QA Staging environment, identify and
report software defects, verify defect removal, communicate test progress
and report on software release readiness and risks.
Main Responsibilities:
The Consultant will be responsible for software testing and reporting bugs,
monitor code changes and assesses the impact on testing activities. He or
she communicates test coverage and software release readiness and risks. He
or she works on projects within various segments. This position plays a
critical role in communicating and improving the level of quality of the
product before software is released to clients.
Required Skills:
*Candidate should not be an entry-level* and must have atleast 3-5 years of
experience.
The candidate should have previous experience with the Wealth Management
integrated solutions. MUST have good presentation skills and be highly
technical.
Candidate MUST be familiar with financial applications and market data.
While they do not need to be experts in this area, they should be familiar
with commonly used terms and various financial instruments. They should
understand how markets move and how and why these applications would be used
by various financial professionals.
Desired Skill Set:
A *familiarity with automation QTP {Quick Test Professional} tool would be a
desired skill set.* We are looking for 1+ year using the QTP Tool.
Manual testing mostly but if candidate has this familiarity even better.
