Employment Type: *Contract* *Business System Analyst * City: *1 phone, 1 F2F * *20 hours a week * State: WA Status: *Accepting Candidates* Description: I need one part-time Business Analysis contractor to assist with the development of system configuration documentation for our Enterprise Cost Management project. This project includes the replacement of several project management applications used by multiple groups with a single Port-wide project management system. The Port has selected a Skire product. The Business Analyst will be responsible for working with the project manager to lead a group of business experts in the development of system configuration documentation. This includes: - Analysis of existing requirements and process documentation - Determination of gaps - Leadership of workshops with business experts to address gaps - Identifying clear options to facilitate quick decisions - Documentation of requirements for system configuration The candidate must demonstrate the following through experience on similar projects: - Ability to facilitate a group of people from multiple organizations to make quick decisions on requirements and system configuration options - Organizational skills to clearly identify and communicate adequate and inadequate existing documentation - Experience with implementation and/or enhancement of multiple project management applications - Experience working with vendors on system implementations - Communication with project team, stakeholders, sponsors, and leadership - Must be able to work part time and work flexibly as the project schedule dictates. For example, because of resource availability, there could be light weeks and heavier weeks. Successful candidates must be politically savvy and will be able to clearly and concisely communicate their skills and experience. Candidates must be comfortable working on their own with business partners, technical resources, and vendors. LOCATION: Primary on-site location will be at our Pier 69 office in downtown Seattle DURATION: The contract will be for approximately 4 months and between 250-300 hours. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: A bachelor's degree in technology, business management, or related discipline, or equivalent extensive and related business analyst experience. Minimum 3 years of experience working on technology projects. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: 5 years experience working on technology projects.
