Database Administrator *Work Location:* 12900 Worldgate Dr *Duration:* 4-6 Months *Start:* ASAP This Senior Oracle Database Administrator position is hands-on. The successful candidate will have a proven track record in a similar environment. One would be expected to have experience in, and be able to perform tasks: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or other related specialty with equivalent experience - Experience with Oracle 10g/11g on Solaris/Linux servers - 5+ years experience as an Oracle production and development DBA skills on UNIX in 24X7 environments - 5+ years in SQL tuning and PL/SQL scripting - 5+ years in UNIX shell/Perl scripting - 3+ years experience with various partitioning of tables - 3+ years experience with OEM - Experience in performance tuning and troubleshooting - drill down approach with O/S, database and application - Experience in designing solutions and performing global enterprise database backup and recovery - Well developed written and verbal communication skills 3-5 years of DBA experience * Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related field * Excellent knowledge of one or more of the major DBMS systems * Excellent knowledge of software upgrade procedures * Professional certification(s) desired * Strong communication skills (written and verbal) * Strong leadership skills * Please send the updated resume of the consultant along with the rate, location and contact information.
