*Length: *  6 months+ contract

*Interview Process:*  Either a face-to-face or video conference interview
will be required for this position.

*Note:*  This position is *NOT* specifically a BEA WebLogic administrator.
The position is more that of a *Weblogic Support role*, working with
operation system configuration (but *NOT *actually doing the configuration),
supporting the availability of the corporate wide infrastructure
applications (such as WebLogic, SOA suite, and so on).


*Key Technical Skills Required:*
----------------------------------------------------------
- Must have 5 - 8 yrs of strong Professional experience in Systems
Administration which includes extensive experience in Web Application server
(WebLogic Ver 8.x,9.x,10.x) - installation/ deployments/ configuration/
maintenance/ performance/ monitoring/ troubleshooting Web based
applications.
- Administration, Installation, configuration of Weblogic (WLS, WLI)
Servers, Apache Web Servers and configuration of proxy requests using Load
Balancers to clustered Weblogic servers.
- Extensive experience in troubleshooting the deployment and other
application problems, applying WebLogic patches, Service Packs, and working
closely with Development Teams in solving issues.
- Extensive experience with WebLogic Clusters and the JMS Clusters.
Configuring the Distributed Topics, Queues and Message Bridges in JMS
Clusters and MQ Series.
- Expertise in managing JNDI, LDAP, Managing Security, Configuring and
monitoring.
- Solid experience in finding the Memory Leaks and adjusting the JVM Heap
Sizes and configuring/working with the Wily and JProbe to detect memory
leaks.
- Extensive experience with JBoss Application Server (JBoss EAP) -
installation, maintenance, configuration, and support.
- Strong UNIX/Linux Skills (Scripts and Administration) and experience with
TCP/IP networking.
- Windows Server 2000/ 2003/2008 and Active Directory skills.
- Experience in WLST, Jython and ANT scripting to automate and monitor the
WebLogic routine tasks.
- Strong Administration experience with SunOne/ Apache/ IIS/ Tomcat
WebServers.
- Experience with Fusion Middleware/SOA Suite, BPEL, Enterprise Service Bus,
Business Process Management, Oracle IDM Suite is a plus.
- Experience with process documentation and process documentation tools
(such as Visio).
- Experience using Java, J2EE, XML, SQL and Shell/Perl Scripting in a
UNIX/Linux environment.
- Strong analytical & troubleshooting skills.

*Description of Duties: *
----------------------------------------------------------
- Providing support for Production, Staging, Testing and Development
environments
- Designs and implement infrastructure from specifications.
- Participating in the Change Management Process, providing information
regarding the consequences of changes, and supporting the completion of
approved changes.
- Interact with DBAs, and integration analysts on technical support and
maintenance
- Develop guidelines and standards (e.g. integration concepts, agent
development concepts, query concepts).
- Perform application user management and administration.
- WebLogic Server performance tuning.
- Produce and maintain User and Technical documentation as required.
- Analyzes, evaluates, tests, debugs, and documents moderately complex
software applications.
- Under general direction devises or modifies procedures to solve complex
problems.
- Competent to work at the highest technical level of all phases of
applications server activities.
- Monitors systems capacity and performance, plans and executes disaster
recovery procedures, and provides Tier 2 technical support.
- Provides high level written communications such as white papers, decision
documents, or research papers.
- Identify, escalate and document production impact issues for the
environment to confirmed delivery for client and business notification.
- Participate in the 24x7 on-call pager rotation for application support of
production related issues.
