*Title: Sr. Project Manager* *Rate: $50/hr* *Duration : Long term* *Location : Jacksonville FL* Responsible for management of the entire project lifecycle from project definition/scope through implementation. Develop project plan and drive project milestones. Employ project management methodologies and tools, like MS Project. Identify, coordinate, and manage resources and key stakeholders for project. Ensure effective change management occurs throughout the course of the project. Manage all communication plans, training and documentation. Deliver projects on time, at/under budget and within scope. Communicate project status to all stakeholders on a regular basis throughout the lifecycle of the project. Position requires excellent oral and written communications, interpersonal, negotiation, project planning, judgment, leadership, decision-making, analysis and problem-solving skills. Expert knowledge of MS Project, Excel, MS Word and Visio. 6+ years of prior experience in project management is required. Transportation Applications Consultant Purpose/Background: Provide project management for IT new applications development and support of existing systems. The primary business areas to be supported are: Process Excellence and Humpyard Systems. This role will focus on business partner relationships within the structure of IT partnership. Principal Duties and Responsibilities: * Project management skills are required for this position. *Strong oral and written communication and interpersonal skills a must. Expect to communicate with all levels in the organization efficiently and effectively. * Leverage technical experience towards solution design * Manage multiple and varied projects. * Create and manage project work plans; manage tasking and assignments. *Own project budget and timeline; Participate in the monthly forecasting processes. * Organize the activities of the project team. Coordinate the activities of the project team with other departments. Supervise and direct activities as required ensuring successful project implementation across the entire lifecycle * Perform related duties as assigned or requested. Required Experience: * Requires strong project management skills (4 years+) within Technology Applications Development. Experience in new development and in the support of existing systems. * Excellent verbal and written communications skills needed to convey system requirements, problem solve and lead a team. Must effectively report on system progress, status and issues. Must have well-developed presentation skills. * Requires expertise in analyzing company (business partner) processes to properly diagnose and implement the most effective and cost efficient solutions. * Proficient at risk management. *Able to deal successfully with uncertainty. *Negotiation and conflict resolution. *Able to motivate team. Preferred Competencies * Solid data analysis and problem solving skills * Six-Sigma Green Belt or Black belt certification * Intermediate to expert user in MS Access, Word, Excel, PowerPoint * Technical Skills helpful: SQL, UNIX * Financial Tools: Clarity, Oracle financials Preferred Experience: * Project Management Certifications are a plus * Transportation business knowledge and nomenclature * Understanding of Technology’s interdepartmental roles and responsibilities Please send the updated resume of the consultant along with the rate, location and contact information.
