Job Summary: * Technical expertise in web development (JSF/AJAX/JavaScript) ) * Technical expertise in GIS / ESRI applications development using JSAPI ( preferably 2.0 ) * Ability to define and document technology system scope, objectives, and requirements. Primary Activities and Responsibilities: * Create system designs to facilitate the inter-operability of large-scale business systems for new web applications that provide functionality supporting railroad activities. * Research, analyze, and define business solutions of large systems scope and complexity. * Prepare detailed specifications for large complex projects and design solutions for complex business problems. * Document test cases, expected test results, test data requirements, and collaborate with testing teams and business partners to resolve testing problems. * Code, debug, test and support utilities, tools, and frameworks to support the application development process. Required Knowledge and Skills: * Knowledge of J2EE (Java 2 Enterprise Edition) methodology (JSF/AJAX/JavaScript) * Knowledge of Java 1.5+ * Knowledge of HTML (Hyper Text Markup Language) and XML (eXtensible Markup Language) * Knowledge of WebSphere 7.0 * Knowledge of RAD 7.5+ (Rational Application Developer) application development skills or other eclipse based tool * Knowledge of software development lifecycle (SDLC) concepts * Programming skills Preferred Knowledge and Skills: * Ability to use multiple tools and techniques to facilitate the design, development, and integration of business systems in a web environment * Ability to develop contingency plans, analyze systems for efficiencies, and develop test case scenarios * Ability to communicate effectively (both written and orally) with all levels of audiences * Knowledge of Oracle database management system (DBMS) and PL/SQL * Knowledge of Agile Scrum methodologies and their application * Knowledge of Rational Version control tools (ClearCase/ClearQuest) * Knowledge of change management processes Please send the updated resume of the consultant along with the rate, location and contact information.
