*Informatica Tech Lead Portland, ME 15 Months* Technical Environment: Informatica 8.6.x, Teradata, AIX UNIX Responsibilities: Uses the Informatica Data Integration platform to extract, transform, and load data Uses the Informatica Data Transformation technologies platform to parse, map, serialize and split data in unstructured, semi-structured and complex XML formats . Works with Data Integration developers to develop Data Integration Workflows and load processes . Develops Informatica data transformation designs . Ensures adherence to proprietary and open data format standards for all developed components . Ensures adherence to locally defined standards for all developed components . Performs data analysis for source and target data . May create external data transformation components using Java, .Net, XSLT or other technologies . Provides technical documentation of transformation components . Supports the development and design of the internal data integration framework Participates in design and development reviews . Works with system owners to resolve data transformation issues and to refine transformation components . Ensures performance metrics are met and tracked . Collaborates with ends users and other stakeholders to define detailed requirements . Designs business intelligence solutions that meet user requirements for accessing and analyzing data . Works with front-end business intelligence tools to design the report! ing environment . Works with the DBA and Data Architect to optimize reporting performance . Develops supporting documentation for the application . Participates in the full testing cycle . Develops technical design documents Expertise: . *Has Strong Informatica Data Integration Platform experience (5 to 7 Years of Experience) . Has Strong Teradata RDBMS skills including Loader utilities (MLOAD, FASTLOAD, TPUMP) and SQL experience (3 to 5 Years of Experience) .* Has experience on UNIX platform . Solid understanding of metadata concepts and the Data Warehouse/Data Mart model . Strong understanding of data integration concepts . Ability to translate functional requirements into technical design specifications . Experience in optimizing data loads and data transformations . Strong Business Analysis and problem solving skills . Aptitude with front-end business intelligence tools (i.e., Cognos, Informatica Data Analyzer) . Excellent problem solving and trouble-shooting skills. Solid interpersonal skills and ability to work with business and system owners to obtain requirements and manage expectations . Understanding of industry standard data integration architectures . Familiarity with appropriate modeling techniques such as UML and ER modeling as appropriate . Capable of expressing technical concepts in business terms . Understands data integration processes and how to tune for performance . Has the ability to develop work plans and follow through on assignments with minimal guidance . Has the ability to work with business and system owners to obtain requirements and manage expectations . Solid understanding of XML and XML Schema technologies . Understands data transformation (e.g., parsing, mapping and serialization processes) . Possesses excellent communications skills . Software development expertise (previous development experience of the application type) .
