Position: ETL Data Warehouse Architect
Location: Wilmington, DE
Duration: 6 to 24+ months (2+ yrs)
Description:
In this position you will act as the primary technical architect for data
warehousing projects. This position will also be responsible for providing
deep technical expertise in database design ETL reporting and analytics. This
will include being able to integrate with the database development and reports
development teams to create ETL processes and data marts for project
applications; being compliant with project standards and guidelines and
integrating these standards into the development process.
Must Have:
- Minimum of 10 years experience in IT with at least 6 years in Business
Intelligence and Data Warehousing
- ORACLE 10g or 11g: Experience in database performance optimization
techniques multidimensional database designs and physical database
implementations
- Experienced practitioner in implementing mid- to large-scale ETL solutions
performing data analysis and profiling interacting with client management
leading ETL teams and designing and architecting DW ETL solutions
Desired Elements:
- ETL Tools:
- Informatica 8 DataStage Ab Initio or DTS.
- Oracle 10g DBMS: DB2 SQL Server 2000 or 2005
- BI Tools:
- COGNOS Micro Strategy Hyperion
- Certification in one or more of the above technologies
- A minimum of 5 years experience architecting large scale data warehouses
using Oracle
- Proficient data modeling skills i.e. conceptual logical and physical model
design experience with Operation Data Stores Enterprise Data Warehouses and
Data Marts
- Strong RDBMS knowledge of Oracle release 10g/11g
- Implementation experience with ETL concepts and tools such as: Informatica
DataStage and BO Integrator
- Implementation experience with one or more of the following BI/Enterprise
Reporting tools: Oracle Discoverer Business Objects Cognos Brio and Micro
Strategy
