We need an Oracle Developer / Data management consultant with strong SQL to
work with mutli-terabytes of data
Skills:
Data Management, Oracle Development, DBA exp, EXTRACT, PARSE & LOAD large
data sets, DW, shell programming using BASH and PHP, background in UNIX,
writing shell programs for oracle's sqlloader
Description: Long-term contract: somebody who is very strong in the world of
data management: Shell, PHP, Flex is a plus, Oracle, Unix
Manager wants someone who*s able to load a lot of data, parse it, and store
it in an Oracle database. Has to have very strong SQL
Required Skills
1. Oracle Administration background (Extensive experience writing and
dealing with in house developed log parsing systems)
2. Extensive experience with shell programming using BASH and PHP
3. Data Modeling experience
4. Experience writing shell programs for oracle's sqlloader application
5. College degree in either the computer science, mathematics or statistics
6. Strong communication capability
Desired Skills
1. Skilled in OO/Zend PHP development, Flex
2. Business Object Certified
3. Analytical / statistical system design experience
4. Experience as a software developer on an agile software development team
This is a core role on a small team of strong developers and executives. The
system this person will be maintaining is the front end of a mutli-terabyte
advertising industry database with multiple input points. The ideal
candidate will either have extensive experience in multiple forms of data
warehousing and data warehousing automation, or be a strong software
developer with much experience in feeding into raw data into data
warehousing systems. This position is extremely technical.
