The candidate must have Expert Level hands-on knowledge trouble shooting HP
UX 11.x OS as well as a solid background in systems tuning and optimization,
Kernel optimization, and experience with virtualization of systems and
function that are running on HPUX.
Knowledge on Package install, patch management, server builds, Server
upgrades, License management, HPUX network/server administration (DNS, NIS,
LDAP) and configuration is expected.
Required Skills:
- 8 yrs of HPUnix Server Administration and Management on an enterprise
level (HP CSA & CSE Certifications are a plus!)
- UNIX server OS (HPUX 11.x)
- Shell Scripting
- Clustering
- Partitioning: nPars (hard partitions), vPars (virtual partitions), LPAR
(logical partition)
- HP Virtualization (HPUX Integrity Virtual Machines - HP Integrity
Superdome)
- San and NAS systems setup
- Backup management
