Sr. Data Modeler Duration: 6 Months Location: Pittsburg, PA Rate - Open The position requires the development of efficient Information Architecture solutions for various applications and projects. The Data Modeler will lead and participate in the collection of data requirements by collaborating with other members of the project team including business analysts, end users, integration SME's, architects and designers. The data modeler will be required to develop, document, refine, and maintain logical data models (fully attributed and normalized data structures).Specific Responsibilities/Duties for the Data Modeler Participate and / or perform a lead role in gathering, reviewing, and interpreting functional requirements and documentation and translate into a conceptual data model (high level Entity Relationship Diagrams) . Develop a plan for ensuring the quality and integrity of the logical model and its alignment with project/program goals and requirements. Provides input to the PMO with project plan and scheduling information as needed . Consult with project architect to align data architecture with system architecture Technical Capabilities (moderate-level of proficiency) Excellent customer service, organizational, oral and written communication skills. Strong experience in requirements analysis, structured analysis, problem solving, promoting process improvement, researching of existing systems and re-engineering . Relational database modeling. Strong skill set with data modeling concepts and tools (Erwin). Ability to define data and processes at both a detail and conceptual, enterprise-wide level. Service Oriented Architecture. Databases and SQL (Oracle, SQL Server, DB2).
