Apex Systems is seeking a QA Tester to perform highly technical testing across a suite of financial products for a large international web-based company. Position: QA Tester Duration: 3 month contract to permanent hire (candidates must be EAD or Green Card) Location: Timonium, MD Compensation: $40/hr *Responsibilities:* · Work closely with a cross-functional team including business leaders, development engineers, and project managers to execute testing in an extremely fast-paced agile environment · Perform manual testing for web services applications · Develop data-driven test cases using Groovy within soapUI. · Work closely with developers to isolate and reproduce defects. · Participate in agile scoring meetings, user story development and test case reviews. · Participate in batch job scheduling using Control-M *Must have the following skills:* · Must have very strong manual testing experience, and strong back-end technical skills · Must have programming experience with object oriented programming languages such as Groovy, Java, C/C++ · Must have experience working with UNIX commands to execute scripts, and search for log files · Must have strong SQL experience working with TOAD or SQL Developer to look up data, and edit databases · Experience using soapUI for web services testing · Experience with one or more of the major RDBMS (Oracle or DB2) · Experience with job scheduling using Control-M or Autosys · Excellent communication skills with a proven ability to communicate across business and technical teams · Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field and/or at least 5+ years plus experience in software quality assurance & Please send the updated resume of the consultant along with the rate, location and contact information.
