Job Description Creates, enhances and supports custom web applications for our clients. Knowledge & Skills: 1. Detailed knowledge and experience in many of the following core technologies, concepts and tools: Java Enterprise Edition, Oracle, WebSphere, Apache, Tomcat , SOA, Design Patterns, Eclipse and common Open Source API's such as JUnit, Log4J, Hibernate, Wicket, Spring, Struts, etc. 2. Demonstrates the potential to develop solid technical skills. 3. Strong interpersonal skills, and strong written and verbal communication skills. 4. Ability to work as a member of a team, under pressure and within aggressive schedules. 5. Demonstrates analytical thinking and creativity to problem solving 6. Understands the value of and appreciates Unit Testing 7. Relishes a wide-range of challenges, from coding to design and from requirements to end-user training. Experience required: 4 to 6 years of Java/J2EE Web Development (JSP, Servlets) – EJB or java beans not necessary. Hibernate - though Hibernate is used in all of their apps, applicants need to be solid in other areas to compete. WAS (WebSphere Application Server). Oracle preferred but strong experience with other RDBMS accepted. Frameworks (should have 2 out of the 3 following frameworks - Struts, JSF or Spring) - two of the following can be substituted: Tapestry, Seam, Wicket, Struts, WebWork. Development experience on all 3 Tiers. Excellent communications.
