POSITION PURPOSE:
A Technical Specialist 2 needs to be effective and efficient in consulting
the customer on specifically defined topics relating to the HP
Hardware, Microsoft
Software and infrastructure in a large company environment. He / She applies
standard methods to identify alternative solutions. Interfaces with Business
Customers, Technical Project Engineers, Rapid Deployment Team, WIPRO HO2
Remediation Factory

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
He / She applies standard methods to identify alternative solutions as
needed.
A TS 2 needs to be able to grasp complex issues. Analyze in a goal-oriented
manner. Find alternative solution routes. Knows and uses problem solving
techniques. Recognizes risks and communicates them in a timely manner
• Structures topics and handles them efficiently in terms of timing and with
a focus on goals and results, together with the group.
• Works with the Security Administration area to implement user access to
systems and assure proper security and access is maintained
• Acts according to the prescribed objectives and tasks and within a
prescribed time period. Keeps the cost and resource aspects of his/her area
of activity in mind.
• Verify and update the documentation for WINDOWS team
• Uphold and comply with all corporate policies and procedures
Activities
• Facilitates the application installation and ensures it happens in-line
with the GI-H standards (Server) and follows Security Model 50%
• Is the first point of contact for issues / escalation from co-workers and
customers 20%
• Interacts with local PIMA ( Third Party supplier) personal 5%
• Provide regular feedback to PM and escalate when necessary.
• Identify potential issues and brings them to the attention of the PM or
appropriate Team Member 5%
• Owns the request from being assigned to completion 5%
• Receives server(s) from Rapid Deployment Team (post HO1) 2%
• Ensures Configuration Doc is created, Asset Centre & Primus (Reporting
Tools) is updated 2%
• Facilitates Run & Maintain Support if required 2%
• Performs other related duties as assigned 2%

OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

QUALIFICATIONS:
• Needs solid knowledge of consulting methods.
• Must be proficient in VMware technologies including ESX and Virtual
Center.
• Basic knowledge of Project Management.
• Needs extensive knowledge of Windows Server and Landscape.
• Willing to learn the requirements and technical objectives of the
project.
• Keeps profitability and value creation in mind.
• Helps develop effective customer strategy.
• Assures a high level of customer satisfaction.
• Excellent interpersonal skills, communication and team organization
skills
• Experience with TCP/IP
Preferred knowledge
• GI-H Service definition, GI-H Principles, GI-H Standards, GI-H service
change process, GI-H Handover process. Reinforce GI-H Standards &
Procedures
• Experience with SQL server.
• Handle day to day enquiries from customer, PM and co-workers working on
project.
• 4+ years exposure to Enterprise servers

EDUCATION:
§ Minimal:
University degree
Microsoft Certified
Have 2-5 years experience working with Microsoft Servers and applications.
Must be able to speak and write English well.

Preferred:
Have experience working with the Shell / T-Systems GI-H process.
Have working knowledge of the T-Systems reporting, time writing and PM
processes.
