*Role Description**:*

The ideal candidate has both design and development experience on the
required platform and will be able to create (programming
language-independent) architecture documentation as well as code.

Developers are expected to unit test.

Very good communication skills are required, as the resource will work with
the business and Business Analyst, work against the Requirements
Traceability Matrix, etc.

The resource will need hands on experience with the ANSI X12 transactions
and not just training or knowledge or the transactions.

The resource will design, construct, unit test and implement the changes –
SIT and UAT testing are done by another group.

The resource will create design documents from architecture documents they
receive from the Lead and will use their own design document to make coding
changes and unit test these changes.

After SIT and UAT testing is complete, the resource will implement changes.

*Requirements and Qualifications**:***

* *

*Skills And Experience For The Position Include The Following**: *

•        *5 + years experience and an expert at COBOL and DB2**.*

•        *5+ years experience with EDI ANSI X12: 270/271, 276, 877*.

•        *5+ years experience with mainframe programming:  JCL, real-time
CICS*.

* *

*Preferred Skills And Experience Include**: *

•        Experience with Gentran mappings.

•        Experience with or exposure to J2EE, WAS, SOAP, Web Services, RAD,
PVCS.

•        Experience with or exposure to Unix and Unix Scripting.

•        Experience with Blue Squared and ITS systems.
