Duration : One Year Essential Functions (Overview) The Project Manager will be responsible for end-to-end project management of new and existing initiatives within one or multiple areas Web, Mobile, Interactive TV, Emerging Products or On-Air. The successful candidate is someone with a strong background in project/product management that can work with Business Development, Marketing, Editorial, and Product teams to promote the benefits of the combined solutions . He/she is an inspirational team leader. This is an exciting opportunity in a growth area of the business to build new products and technical solutions to drive revenue. Moreover, this is a leadership position, which requires excellent communication and technical skills, coupled with the ability to lead mission critical projects across a large enterprise using Agile methodology. The successful candidate will have the ability to manage change and thrive in a fast-paced environment while balancing multiple priorities. This individual will report to the Director, PMO, Specific Responsibilities: • Manage projects and initiatives from initial scope definition through implementation, including the conceptualization, design, and deployment. • Establishes and maintains project communications. • Oversees project estimations and the development of project deliverables. • Executes and maintains processes to manage scope, issues, and action items throughout the project lifecycle. • Identifies and manages project issues and ensure the team defines and achieves project quality and performance objectives. • Assesses and manages risk over the project lifecycle. • Lead teams cross-departmentally • Clarifies and communicates project objectives, including detail understanding of milestones, deliverables and success criteria. • Ensures the use of Agile best practices and applies lessons learned from previous projects. • Manages third-party partner and/or vendor relationships, as necessary. • Manages peer-level client relationships (expectations, communications – internal and external, negotiations, escalation to senior management, and customer feedback). • Provides day-to-day project contact for the team, management and stakeholder / customer. • Ensures timely and accurate completion of team tasks, projects, and individual assignments. • Maintains awareness of changing technology and makes recommendations for integrating changes into current products. • Understands the benefits and constraints of multi-tiered software application development and the ability to assess the impact of technology issues to project deliverables; and be able to effectively communicate the same to product owners • Create project plans and articulate high-level project deliverables to peers.
