My client is looking for *Sr Java Back End Engineer - Redwood City, CA*.* *This is a *6+ months* Contract position. The Hourly rate is DOE. *Summary:* Demonstrated sound technical and business acumen with excellent technical problem solving skills. Excellent knowledge of enterprise web applications - including web infrastructure, applications, OS, database, networking and security, especially in Commercial Internet Banking Applications. Excellent communication, presentation, organizational and interpersonal skills Technical Experience Required: 4+ years of experience in Java/J2EE server side programming. Experience in Frameworks like Hibernate, Spring, MVC or similar tools. Expert in J2EE design patterns Significant development experience in Java, J2EE, Struts, DAOs, Web Services, XML and XSLT. Strong Designing experience with tools such as Rational Rose, UML or similar tools. Experience with all aspects of the System Development Life Cycle Applied experience with application servers (JBoss & WebSphere). Excellent PL SQL skills - ability to write efficient queries and Stored Procedures. Experience working on Linux/Unix environment. Ability to clearly document designs and implementations Strong sense of ownership and proven delivery record Ability to make decisions in adverse conditions Solid organizational skills and strict attention to detail Ability to multi-task and function efficiently within very aggressive schedules/timelines Other Nice to have Skills: Experience in ORM tools such as Torque.
