Location: *NY* Duration: *6 Months* SQL Developer II (QXNT - T-SQL, SSIS) *Job Description: *The SQL Server Developer will be assigned as a technical resource on various projects involving SQL Server 2005/2008, as well as performing duties such as documenting requirements, source-to-target mappings, and program logic, designing solutions, testing, and implementation. *Responsibilities:* - Learn and master database schema of complex third-party enterprise applications - Understand and interpret customer requirements and develop solutions to meet those requirements - Participate in project and new initiative meetings as necessary; represent the development team and make recommendations and decisions on behalf of the team - Identify ways to improve development and deployment; make suggestions - Develop complex extraction, transformation and load processes (ETL) in SSIS and T-SQL to support data movement between systems (SQL Server, Oracle and flatfile sources) - Design, develop, and test reports using SQL Reporting Services - Develop and maintain system documentation, including technical specifications, data mappings, program logic, and flowcharts - Perform additional duties and projects as assigned by management * Requirements: * - Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field preferred - Background in managed care, employee benefits, health insurance, healthcare (non-payer) or other healthcare industries strongly preferred; focus on healthcare payer software platforms - Excellent knowledge of ETL concepts including data migration & integrity, focusing on SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) - Strong knowledge of Transact-SQL with SQL Server 2005/2008 - Working knowledge of SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS); PL/SQL with Oracle 10g a plus - Excellent written and verbal communications skills - Strong business analysis and needs assessment skills; must be comfortable and effective working directly with end users - Ability to manage priorities and handle simultaneous demands; able to work in a fast paced and demanding environment - Must meet performance standards including attendance and punctuality *Note:* Preference will be given to candidates with strong T-SQL and SSIS skills with a background in managed care, employee benefits or other healthcare industries, special focus on healthcare payer software platforms. We are in need of an *experienced* SQL Developer II (Consultant) for a full-time temporary position. This position *requires* a background in managed care, employee benefits or other healthcare industries.
