DataStage Administration (dev, test, production)
- Configuration, installations, production deployments, project set up
DataStage Monitoring (dev, test, production)
- Unix shells scripting for automation, metric collection and weekly /
monthly reporting
DataStage Product Support
- Aid end users with DataStage product queries (usage, best practices, how
to’s)
- Produce content on How To’s / Best Practices for Knowledge Base
DataStage Production Support
- Aid teams in debugging DataStage production issues
*Core Skills: *
DataStage Administration
- Expertise in how DataStage is installed, configured and operates
*DataStage Development*
- Understands DataStage components and which components are appropriate for
different types of business requirements
Customer Service
- Help Desk / Customer service disposition and manner
- Excellent debugging / issue resolution skills
*Additional technical skills:
*- Unix scripting
- Knowledge of database systems (how connections are made, common database
problems for troubleshooting)
- Knowledge of networking systems (how devices are connected and common
problems for troubleshooting)
- Word, Excel, Powerpoint for content generation and metric reporting
- Background in Unix admin or DBA very helpful
