*Position : IBM OPTIM product expertise needed* *Location: Indianapolis, IN; St. Louis, MO; Atlanta, GA; Albany, NY; Thousand Oaks, CA; Denver, CO* *Length: 6 months* *Rate: 45/hr* *The Optim Desktop Management Advisor is responsible for all administrative aspects of the Optim solution at WellPoint. The current Optim configuration consists of Linux and Windows environments with Oracle, SQL Server, DB2, Sybase, and IMS databases. Project Description: Responsible for installing, configuring, testing and maintaining systems that automate, measure or manage other standardized processes and tools within Technology and Operations. Performs assigned tasks to complete highly complex customer requests for configuration, testing and/or delivery of desktop software applications and standardized Operating Systems components and patches to production desktops. Provides support to IT users of desktop management tools to resolve highly complex technical issues and provides 3rd level Helpdesk support for resolution of Sev1/Sev2 outages, based on SME status. Interface with software vendors to resolve desktop toolset issues of high complexity. Participates in meeting to advance regional or enterprise desktop configuration initiatives of high complexity and leads breakout sessions to gather requirements. Evaluate and recommend distributed Desktop Management software tools to increase team productivity and reduce cost. Represent the team as SME for complex audit requirements, in conjunction with administrative manager. Perform level III systems administration of selected desktop management applications. Evaluate current inter and intra-departmental workflows and partner with related area to create or revise processes as needed. Approves all high level component designs for applications. Skills: • Requires BA/BS in related field. • 8+ years of professional level experience in information systems, computer networking or telecommunications systems development and management; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background. • Masters degree preferred. • Knowledge of a variety of technologies and demonstrates a mastery of leveraging that knowledge when participating in strategic decisions required. • Technical certifications (ACP, CMP, MCSE). Excellent written and oral communications skills required. • Expert knowledge of analysis, design, coding and testing concepts is required.
