Title: Linux Administrator Location: San Diego, CA Duration: 6-8 Months Rate $ 45/hr Job Description Installation and configuration of Linux servers. • Setup and configuration of Linux servers • File system setup and configuration. • Work with the project team for post implementation support. • Server & OS Performance tuning. • Coordination with other towers OS, network, storage etc.) or vendors to fix any issues. • Work with SAN team for storage configurations • Install and configure application software. • Work with Managed Services team (OS, network, storage etc.) to configure the software stack. • Be able to contribute to and validate infrastructure design decisions. • Be involved in system validation testing and tuning. • Help with documentation, knowledge transfer and training for the managed services team. • Performance tuning of application (Apache & Ruby in Rails), in case of poor response time. • Fixing any issues related to configuration of (Application Apache & Ruby in Rails) or database or network related issues.
