We are looking for local candidates, Boston area perferred, that have experience creating Web Services using EJB3, but strong Web Services experience will do. This is a backfill for our contractor that just put in his 2 week notice. I have a new opening for a Java Developer in Wellesley, MA, 20 miles west of Boston. Looking for a local candidate, that we can meet and be available for an on site interview. This is at least a 1 year contract. Rate: *Up to 60/hr* Must haves: Java/J2EE, Good Web Services experience Plus+: Rules Engine (ILOG, JRules is a huge plus) Description: Description: Job Title : Senior Enterprise Java Developer Location : Wellesley, MA Type : Contract Duration : 1+ year Start Date : ASAP Job Description : The senior enterprise java developer will be joining a team that is responsible for developing the Enterprise Clinical Decision Support and Patient Factory web services. The responsibilities include: - Designing, developing and maintaining the Decision Support and Patient Factory services using J2EE and ILOG JRules rule engine. - Designing, developing and maintaining testing tools for the Decision Support and Patient Factory services using ASP.NET (C#). - Providing support for the Knowledge Management team with writing and testing rules. - Deploying and testing the Decision Support service in Development, QA, and Production environments. - Providing operational support and troubleshooting the Decision Support and Patient Factory services in the Production environment. - Producing and updating Technical Specification, Developers' Guide, and other technical documentation as required for the project. The required skills for this role include: - Server-side Java experience - J2EE including EJB, JMS, Web Services, etc. - ASP.NET / C# is a plus - XML - SQL - Experience with JBoss in a clustered environment - Unit, functional and load testing - Experience developing Ant scripts - Object oriented analysis and design - Strong communication and writing skills - Experience working in a multi-faceted team environment where many roles and skill levels are present - Pro-active work ethic; takes initiative to find answers to questions, propose solutions, and resolve issues - Experience developing Eclipse plug-ins is a plus - Experience with ILOG or other similar rule engines is a plus Candidates will ideally have a BS or a comparable degree in Computer science or related field, and 5+ years experience with the required technologies.
