*** *Job Title: Java/Oracle Developer* *Location: Detroit, MI* *Duration: 6+ Months* *Need only GC/Citizens/EAD’s or OPT’s!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!* *Role Description**:* *The ideal candidate has a strong Java/Oracle development background, but is not a “heads-down” coder.* *Strong Oracle development experience is required.* *Very good SQL, views and materialized views, tables and indices, etc.* The team is small, with two team leads, one for each application area. As much as 50% of their time will be spent on support and require interaction with the business side, so excellent communications skills are critical – particularly the ability to translate complex technical concepts into business terms, and to understand requirements and produce a technical specification or diagram. Additionally, production support, and project start-to-finish experience are required. *Job Tasks**:* Provide overall conceptual architecture / design solution for projects.** Provide estimates for projects and assess system impacts. Identify and document architecturally significant aspects/views of the systems. Deliver and collect best design practices across projects. *Requirements and Qualifications**:* 5+ years experience in application design and development in Oracle database and J2EE applications. 5+ years experience with WebSphere-based application development.** 5+ years experience with Oracle; MS Access experience would also be helpful. 5+ years experience in WSAD or RAD. 5+ years experienced with designs and the issues presented by applications that cross multiple platforms (mainframe, client server, web). Proven experience in translating system architecture to specific design decisions.
