* POS: Java Developer Location: Virginia Beach, VA Duration: 3 months renewable 1. REQUIREMENTS/TASKS – JAVA DEVELOPER a. General Requirements (1) Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing, (2) Ability to multi-task, (3) Ability to design and document technical solutions for rewrite of existing applications, (4) Minimum 6-8 years experience in Java/J2EE development, (5) Knowledge of Oracle (6) Java Sun Certification (for any version of Java from 1.2 onwards) required, (7) Sun Certified Web Component Developer (SCWCD) preferred, and (8) Security+ Certification required. b. Technical Knowledge – Skills and experience in: (1) Core Java, J2EE, HTML, CSS, JSP, JavaScript, Tag libraries, Struts Framework, Spring, iBatis, Hibernate, and XML technologies such as DTD, XSD, XSLT, XML Parsers, IDE (JDeveloper/ Eclipse/ NetBeans), Application Servers such as JBoss/ Webspere/ Weblogic/ OC4& (2) Database technologies such as Oracle, PL/SQL, SQL (3) Working experience with designing tools like Microsoft Visio and Rational Rose, and (4) Knowledge of applicable DoD Security Technical Implementation Guide (STIG). c. Deliverables/Tasks: (1) General: The Java Developer will design and develop the Java Web-based application based on the functional specification, and assist System Analyst in designing and testing the application. (2) Specific: Tasks will include the following: · Review Functional Requirements Documents with System Analyst and Oracle Developer · Prepare Technical Design and Documentation · Develop J2EE web-based application · Adhere to STIG and NEXCOM coding standards · Conduct and document Unit Testing · Work with Application Administrators and Oracle DBAs to assist with deployment of application.
