Role Summary/Purpose
Provides technical guidance for multiple, simultaneous programs,
initiatives and assignments with broad scope and high impact to the
business. Responsible for the evaluation, selection and successfuly
application of a wide range of technologies to support business goals.
Essential Responsibilities
Reports to the Chief Enterprise Architect for Energy Services.
An Enterprise Architect Serves as the technical leader of enterprise
initiatives. Responsible for aspects of enterprise architecture and
solution design for off-the-shelf software as well as custom-engineered
applications.
Demonstrate techncial and team leadership to accomplish program,
initiative and business objectives.
Conduct technology and product evaluations in conjunction with business
team to determine both specific fit for business use and for enterprise
use as well as compliance with enterprise standards.
Engage throughout the lifecycle of key business initiative from
inception through retirement to deliver the highest quality technology
solutions. Collaborates closely with program management, operations,
support and matrixed shared services organizations to acheive
performance and reliability objectives.
Identify critical path decisions, makes recommendations and influences
program leaders and business process owners to maximize project payback.
When necessary, use authoritative power to dictate solutions.
Manage daily activities, issue resolution and communication across
project execution teams in order to deliver projects on-time and on
budget.
Ensure conformance of established architecture, standards and practices.
Proactively assesses the need for new technologies where applicable and
provides thought leadership on existing and emerging technology trends.
Support a wide range of software business initiatives, including the
evaluation and adoption of new methodologies, technical regulations and
standards, and enabling tools and infrastructure.
Solve key technical challenges throughout the software development
lifecycle. Identifies technical alternatives, develops innovative
solutions and continuously communicates with business stakeholders,
client groups, executive leadership and project teams.
Qualifications/Requirements
Demonstrated presentation and influencing skills.
At least 10 years of experience in technical leadership role.
Demonstrated knowledge of system integration issues..
Experience in a technical leadership role.
At least 5 years of experience with current information technologies and
their implementation into the business function
Additional Eligibility Qualifications
Desired Characteristics
Knowledge of SOA principles include BPM/BPO
Understanding of project managment via Agile and other methodologies
Proven leadership skill in both business planning and information
technology
Knowledge of Knowledge Management platforms, architecture and industry
trends
Able to use Six Sigma tools and techniques to drive change
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
Capable and influential at program management and business process
improvements
Quality and cost driven; Preferably experienced in CAP (Change
Acceleration Process)
Skill Set: Applications Architect, Java / J2EE, SOA, BPM ( Business
Process Modelling )
Job Location : Bangalore/Hyderabad
Experience - 8-15 yrs
