*Responsibilities:*
• Responsible for problem identification / resolution and root cause
analysis process for UNIX infrastructure.
• Integrate, test and maintain the reliability of the monitoring,
management and automation systems.
• Monitor and create, debug, and enhance monitoring scripts / tools for
operations and applications.
• Apply required O/S patches, firmware upgrades and configuration; changes
disaster recovery and BCP planning,
design, and execution.
• Maintain an inventory of system infrastructure components.
• Shell scripting and application integration, configuration, system
support and tuning (i.e. for Oracle, DB2).
*Skills needed:*
• 5 to 10 years of experience in UNIX administration (including previous
experience in an environment with more than 50 UNIX servers).
• Prior Linux operating system experience.
• Prior SOLARIS 8 and 10 operating system experience.
• Knowledge of Veritas Volume Manager.
• Experience with Scripting (Perl, Shell).
• Familiarity with SAN, Clustering and load balanced environments would be
a plus.
• Experience with web technologies, such as Jboss, WebLogic would be an
asset.
